Microsoft AI Skills Fest 2026 (AISF2026) is a free virtual AI learning festival running from June 8 to 12, designed to help individuals and organizations develop practical AI skills and accelerate AI adoption. Hosted through Microsoft’s AI Skills Navigator platform, the event combines structured learning paths, expert-led sessions, certification preparation, community engagement, and hands-on experiences.

Who Should Attend

The event targets a wide range of learners, including:

  • Developers and software engineers
  • IT, data, and security professionals
  • Business and knowledge workers
  • Managers and executives
  • Educators and students
  • Anyone interested in AI, regardless of experience level

Learning content is organized into role-based tracks that help participants focus on skills most relevant to their careers and goals.

What Participants Can Do

AI Skills Fest offers a mix of live and self-paced learning opportunities, including:

  • Mainstage keynote presentations
  • Expert discussions and live shows
  • Guided learning playlists
  • On-demand AI courses
  • Certification preparation sessions
  • Community activities
  • Partner-led regional events
  • The Agents League Hackathon, where participants design and build AI agents

Topics span AI fundamentals, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure AI, prompt engineering, AI agent development, organizational transformation, productivity, and responsible AI practices.

How Participation Works

The process is straightforward:

  • Register through AI Skills Navigator
  • Select a role-based learning path
  • Complete learning playlists and attend sessions
  • Unlock rewards and certification opportunities

Microsoft’s platform recommends content based on a participant’s role and objectives, helping learners quickly identify relevant material.

Rewards and Incentives

One of the most attractive benefits of AI Skills Fest is the opportunity to earn a free Microsoft Certification exam voucher.

To qualify, participants generally must:

  • Register for the event
  • Complete at least one eligible learning playlist during the active event period
  • Submit a voucher request form that becomes available after playlist completion

The certification voucher is not automatically issued. According to event information and participant reports, completing the playlist unlocks a “Check what’s unlocked” link that directs learners to the voucher claim process.

Eligible participants may also receive:

  • A Credly digital badge recognizing completion
  • Sweepstakes entries
  • Access to special prizes and experiences
  • Hackathon awards and recognition

The certification voucher can typically be used for most Microsoft and GitHub certification exams, excluding certain specialized exam categories, and must be redeemed within the specified validity period.

Agents League Hackathon

Running from June 4–14, 2026, the Agents League Hackathon extends beyond the main festival dates. Participants can build AI agents, compete on leaderboards, showcase projects, and win prizes. Registration closes on June 12.

Can You Join Late And Still Learn a Ton?

Yes. AI Skills Fest is intentionally designed to be flexible. Participants can join at any point during June 8 to 12 and still gain significant value.

Many learning resources are self-paced or on-demand, making it possible to complete multiple playlists within a few hours or over several evenings. Even participants joining on the final days can still access learning content, earn badges, and potentially qualify for rewards if they complete the required activities before deadlines.
